Our filters stand out due to their exceptional design. Owing to our exacting standards, the dimensions and shape of our high-quality filters allow each piece to fit snugly in compatible lids. In contrast, many other filters provide a safe haven for pesky pests to nest out-of-sight. You needn't worry about your odor absorber being infested by bugs.
With proper usage, these filters can last longer when indoor compost is emptied into an outdoor composting bin or tumbler in due time. We advise replacing them at intervals that suit you and, most importantly, your nose best.
Installing our filters is a straightforward process. First, simply pinch and pull out the old filters. Next, push the center of our square-shaped compost filter into the lid with a finger, then tuck in each of its corners, allowing it to sit flush against the inner curvature of the lid's dome. For our circular-shaped filter, insert it bit-by-bit while rotating the lid in your hands. This takes just moments to have your compost pot smells trapped and under control.
It's normal for a bit of the odor-absorbing activated carbon to flake off during installation, and you may need to bend and wrinkle the filters slightly to install them. However, this won't harm them, and they will still effectively absorb odors. If your filter replacement kit bag comes with a couple of holes punched in it, simply place a small piece of tape across each hole to trap out outside air and prevent your replacement filters from becoming oxygenated before use.
Our filters can be trimmed to fit smaller 4, 5, 5.5, and 6-inch lids, or used loosely in 7, 7.25, and 8-inch lids. They can also be trimmed for DIY projects.
Thoughtful design went into our kitchen compost bin filters. Each piece has a snug fit in compatible lids, allowing the much-needed airflow of oxygen to aerate while not allowing the stinky smell out. The length of our square filter is larger than most OEM filters, allowing it to lie flush against the lid's aeration vent holes on the inside, so you can visually monitor any fruit fly issues.
Our activated charcoal filters come in a dual-filter system, providing double the odor protection compared to single-filter OEM options that are smaller, thinner, and subpar. The thicker the filtration, the better the absorption of odors, ensuring fresh, odor-free composting from your countertops.
Our filters come in a convenient, resealable zip-seal bag for storage, preserving the absorbency of the filters you're not using, so they can be used as spares to replace old, smelly, and no longer absorbent filter inserts.
Each pair of our activated charcoal compost filters is rated to last through 2 months of aerification with typical usage, so this filter refill pack containing 12 pieces (or 6 pairs) should have a 12-month life-expectancy.
Our compost pail charcoal filters are designed to fit the lids of many best-selling pails, which are typically 1-gallon to 1.3-gallons in capacity, with 6.5-inch domed lids that have a groove at the bottom to hold a second charcoal filter. However, our filters are trimmable, allowing you to adjust the size as needed.
